Rdale summer programming

Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale) is the perfect summertime place for your student to unplug, have fun, and socialize with friends. 

Featuring small class sizes and no tests or worksheets, the district has a variety of summer camp-like and programs that we think will spark your student's curiosity, while also allowing them to play games, get outside, and hang with friends.

From kindergarten to high school seniors, there's something for everyone this summer, though registration deadlines vary:

Camp-like summer programs:

  • Summer Academic Program for grades K-5 and grades 6-8
  • CDF Freedom Schools for grades K-8
    • American Indian Freedom Schools
    • Traditional Freedom Schools
  • College and Career Now for grades 9-12

High School:

  • High school credit recovery at Cooper High School
    • 8:45a.m. to 12:45 p.m., June 10-28
    • Free program includes breakfast, lunch, and transportation for those who live within district boundaries
    • Contact your student's school counselor if interested 

Fee-based summertime childcare:

  • Adventure Club (grades K-5)
  • The Basement (grades 6-8)

Community Education:

  • Robbinsdale Community Education has a number of low-cost summer enrichment camps and programs for all ages, including 115 different summer enrichment courses for all grade-levels, K-5 Summer Explorers camps at Lakeview Elementary and Plymouth Middle, and high school driver's education.
