About the Residency
T. Mychael’s artist residency invites students to explore their creativity through movement, writing, acting, music, and storytelling. Through fun, hands-on activities like improvisation, ensemble work, and songwriting, students learn how to express themselves and work together as a team. The residency helps each student discover and celebrate their unique talents while using their own life experiences as inspiration for creativity, problem-solving, and learning across all subjects.
About T. Mychael Rambo
T. Mychael Rambo believes that theater is all about being present, open, and ready to explore new possibilities. He sees “theater” as an action—a way of connecting, reacting, and creating together. As an award-winning actor, singer, playwright, and director, T. Mychael has shared his talents on stage with many theater companies, including the Guthrie, Penumbra, Mixed Blood, Illusion, and the Minnesota Opera. He has also appeared in films, on television, and in radio and TV commercials. In the classroom, T. Mychael brings the same energy and creativity that he brings to the stage, inspiring students to find their own voices and express their ideas with confidence and joy.
