STAGES THEATER "I CAN" STATEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 25

Ms. Trudy will be working on:

K - I can identify similarities between characters. I can use movement and dance to tell a story.

1- I can use pantomime to demonstrate specific verbs. I can identify a setting by the actions that take place in that location. 

2 - I can compare and contrast different versions of the Russian dance from the “Nutcracker”. I can understand that with the use of imagination, there are multiple ways to present the same production. I can connect  basic dance vocabulary to the corresponding movement.

3 - I can share my knowledge of black history. I can follow agreed upon rules to participate in large group discussions. I can learn from other’s experiences. I can participate in an ensemble read of  the script “Black History Is American History.

4 - I can read a letter and share interesting things about my Pen Pal or things  I have in common with them. I can write a reply letter.

5 - I can create necessary props and simple costume pieces to enhance my performance.
