SPOTLIGHT ON STAGES

Spotlight featuring third grade:

Last week, our third-grade students proudly presented “Black History Is American History,” a special production inspired by Arturo Schomburg.

The performance highlighted Schomburg’s determination to prove to his fifth-grade teacher—and to the world—that people of African descent have a rich, powerful history filled with heroes whose contributions are truly worth recognizing.

Through powerful storytelling, music, and student presentations, our scholars celebrated the achievements, resilience, and lasting impact of African sons and daughters throughout history. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the meaningful message they shared with our school community.
