ARTIST IN RESIDENCY: GRADE 1 - MOSAICS WITH LISA ARNOLD

We are excited to announce an enriching opportunity for our students at FAIR Pilgrim Lane Elementary! Thanks to the generous sponsorship from the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), we have welcomed a talented artist, Lisa Arnold, to conduct an Artist in Residency program at our school.

Lisa Arnold brings with her a wealth of experience and passion for mosaic art. Over the past weeks, she has been collaborating with our Grade 1 students, introducing them to the captivating world of mosaic artistry. Through hands-on workshops and engaging demonstrations, Lisa has been guiding our young learners in creating stunning mosaic pieces, exploring various concepts and techniques along the way.

Mosaic art offers a unique platform for students to delve into essential art concepts such as scheme, style, geometric patterns, color coordination, and hue development. Through this artistic medium, our students have been honing their creative instincts, developing their fine motor skills, and nurturing their appreciation for aesthetic beauty.

Throughout this residency, students have been actively engaged in the creative process, from creating their designs to selecting materials and bringing their visions to life. Witnessing their enthusiasm and dedication has been truly inspiring, and we are incredibly proud of the remarkable pieces they have produced under Lisa's guidance.

The PTO support and fundraising mean the world to our budding artists at FAIR Pilgrim Lane.  We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the PTO for their unwavering support in making this Artist in Residency program possible. Their dedication to enriching the educational experience of our students is truly commendable and deeply appreciated.
