Facing a critical crossroads for its future, the Robbinsdale Area Schools Board of Education has approved three bond referendum questions to be placed before voters on the Nov. 3, 2026, ballot.

Robbinsdale Area Schools has launched the Annual Update for the 2026-27 school year, available through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. The Annual Update allows families to review and update important student information—including transportation preferences, parent/guardian contact information, emergency contacts, annual opt-outs, and more—all in one place.

As Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale) continues its Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 planning process, the School Board met June 15, 2026 (watch the meeting | see the agenda) to provide direction on the next phase of long-range facilities planning and a potential building bond referendum.

Years of financial pressures, declining enrollment, and rising costs led Robbinsdale Area Schools into Statutory Operating Debt (SOD). Learn more about the factors behind the district’s financial challenges and the steps being taken to restore long-term stability.

Robbinsdale Area Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Meals will be provided to children ages 1 year through 18 years without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Help us celebrate the year and kick off to summer!

Spotlight Wrap Up:

As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, it has been a joy and an inspiration to guide our Dragons through their grade-level capstone performances. Each production showcased our students’ creativity, confidence, and growth throughout the year.

Our second graders performed a reader’s theater adaptation of Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type. Third grade students presented Black History Is American History, while fourth grade students shared Connecting Generations Five. Fifth grade students brought tremendous energy and talent to their musical production of Dear Edwina.

Our youngest performers also had exciting opportunities to shine this year. Kindergarten students performed Chicken Dance for preschool students, and first grade students presented a version of Giraffes Can’t Dance for the kindergarten classes.

In addition to these productions, each grade level participated in the individual Stages Arts and Literacy curriculum, further strengthening students’ creativity, communication, and literacy skills. In the video below, students will share some of their favorite moments from the year.

Another School Year in the Books- Happy Summer, Staff and Families!

From us at Vona, we want to share our deepest appreciation to all families and staff we have had the pleasure of working with this school year. Thank you for your continued dedication in supporting children's mental health.

As summer begins, children benefit from the 3 Cs: Connection, Consistency, and Creative opportunities to play and explore. Even when schedules change from school year to summer, predictable routines like regular mealtimes and bedtimes help children feel safe and supported. Summer is also a great time to build and maintain relationships through simple moments together. Time with trusted adults, friends, family, and community activities helps children feel connected socially. Continue to check-in about their days even while out of school. Outdoor play, movement, creativity, and time in nature also support physical and emotional health while creating opportunities for fun and connection.

Some summer activity ideas:

• Write positive sidewalk messages or draw art outside using chalk.
• Go on a nature scavenger hunt.
• Play board games.
• Volunteer or encourage random acts of kindness around the community.
• Go on walks.
• Read books or let children create their own comic books (themes can be random or related to summer activities, reflection of how last school year went, or goals for next year, etc.).
• Start a new hobby.
• Encourage free play that does not involve screen-time. Bring out items they can use such as flashlights, clothes, art supplies, cardboard boxes, pillows, or other materials you allow/safe to help them learn how to problem-solve, resolve conflicts, stay creative, and use their imagination outside of TV or mobile devices.

We encourage you to use the summer months as an opportunity for rest, reflection, and connection. Thank you for trusting us to walk alongside your children in their growth and learning. We look forward to continuing this important work in the year ahead.

Help Our Students Shine – Become a Reading Tutor!

Students who read have the power to succeed. That’s why FAIR Pilgrim Lane Elementary is looking for Reading Corps tutors to make sure every student is a strong reader.

Reading Tutors serve during school hours and spend their days working with small groups of K-3 students to boost their skills and confidence. With the support of an on-site coach, tutors use activities proven to help students become stronger readers.

No experience? No problem. Our tutors come from all walks of life. Whether you're a recent grad, career changer, stay-at-home parent, or retiree, you can make a great tutor!

Part-time and full-time positions for the 2026-27 school year are available beginning in August. Tutors receive a paycheck every two weeks plus an education award to pay for qualifying college tuition or student loans. Tutors aged 55 or older may gift the education award to their child, grandchild, stepchild, step-grandchild, or foster child.
