Principal Nancy Froelich

Nancy Benz Froelich is the principal of Pilgrim Lane Elementary. Principal Froelich started her teaching career in 1989 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She then spent 16 years in Robbinsdale Schools as a classroom teacher, teaching various grade levels. She also served as an Instructional Assistant and Math Mentor Leader in the Robbinsdale Area Schools. Prior to this, she was a principal and assistant principal in Westonka and Eden Prairie Schools.  Principal Froelich received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and her Principal Licensure were obtained from Hamline University. Principal Froelich also received the distinguished honor of leading a school to the Blue Ribbon School Award, Top Workplaces and the StarTribune Schools that Beat the Oddslisting. Principal Froelich is honored to serve the FAIR-Pilgrim Lane Elementary Community.

Ms Lorence is the Assistant Principal at FAIR-Pilgrim Lane Elementary. Ms. Lorence has been a Dean of Students in Columbia Heights. Prior to this she was a theater instruction for Columbia Heights Schools, where she developed curriculum for the theater arts program. Ms Lorence has extensive knowledge and led the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), restorative practices, curriculum development and assessment teams. She has also been chair of the family engagement, leadership and family literacy committees. Ms. Lorence holds a Bachelor of Arts - Theater degree and English Education degree from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, and a Masters in Educational Leadership degree from Minnesota State University - Moorhead.
